Bloom of the Present Insight Meditation “Relaxing Into the Now” Daylong Retreat

Spend the day with teachers Carla Brennan and Michael Grady deepening your practice and being guided in a fresh approach to meditation.
Mindfulness is the innate power of mind that enables us to relate to each moment with open-hearted attention and creative intelligence. In this daylong, we will explore ways to strengthen mindfulness and begin to let go of negative attitudes and habitual reactions that burden our heart and obscure clear seeing.
We will particularly focus on wise attitude and effort and in practice – encouraging a deepening of relaxation in the body and mind. By cultivating a non-striving attitude in meditation, we can discover the freedom and joy of living in the here and now.
The day will include sitting and walking meditation, short talks and instruction. For both new and experienced practitioners.
There will be a silent break for lunch, bring your own bag lunch or purchase food nearby.
No registration required.
The retreat is offered on a donation basis. Suggested sliding scale donation $40-60. More or less is gratefully accepted. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Non-monetary donations also accepted.
