Citizen Science: Musical Glass

Musical Glass!

Join April Zilber and Martin Gaskell for a fascinating evening exploring the art and science of Acoustics. Follow the intellectual process of developing tuned Bell Plates made from fused glass – a first! We will discuss relevant physics of music, challenges of the project, Chladni figures and your questions. There will be plenty of time to play some glass bell plates as well.

SCPL is partnering with the Children’s Museum of Discovery (MOD), and UCSC to present a science series for adults and teens. Meetings will be held on the 1st Thursday every month 6:30pm to 8pm at the Downtown Library.
