Fundraiser: Libraries, Foster Children & Quilts

Friends of the Scotts Valley Library and New Families are hosting a reception to spotlight the installation of a handmade quilt, titled “Enchanted Garden,” created by the award-winning quilting group, North Coast Needlers. The event will feature Assemblyman Mark Stone, author of landmark legislation AB403, and the staff of New Families, who will discuss the legislative changes in the Foster Care System. The public may purchase tickets for a chance to win the quilt at the Scotts Valley Library or through the New Families website (www.newfamilies.org)
