Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park Anniversary Lecture, “The Santa Cruz Mission: Finding the Story in the Archaeology, Then and Now”

In celebration of this 25th anniversary, Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park will hold a three-part lecture series about the history of the Mission.

The lecture “The Santa Cruz Mission: Finding the Story in the Archaeology, Then and Now” will be Thursday, Oct. 20. Speakers include archaeologist Karen Hildebrand speaking on the topic “Years of Exploration: What Archeology Has Given Us,” and Linda Hylkema, RPA Director, Cultural Resource Management, Santa Clara University Summer Archaeology Project: A Collaboration of the Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park and Santa Clara University.

All events will be held at the Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park, 144 School St., Santa Cruz. The reception will be from 6:30-7 p.m., lecture begins at 7 p.m.. Please dress warmly. Collaboration of California State Parks and Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks.
