Zach Brown Rides in Commemoration of Nine Teachers Lost

October 8, 2018 @ 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

On October 8, 2018 Zach Brown will ride in support of Measure A as part of the Scotts Valley Save Our Schools (SOSSV) campaign committee. SOSSV is a community group made up of Scotts Valley business leaders, community leaders, parents, and educators seeking to bring the Community together to help Scotts Valley Unified School District maintain quality education. Measure A parcel tax, if approved, will last only 5 years and will be $108 per year.

Zach, and anyone interest in riding with him, will circle the Scotts Valley School District boundaries 9 times, over approximately 109 miles, to commemorate the 9 teaching positions that were lost as a result of inadequate funding. Scotts Valley is the 9th lowest funded unified school district in the State of California, and lowest in Santa Cruz County. Anyone interested in riding can meet in the Kaiser parking lot on Scotts Valley Drive at 7:00 am, Monday, October 8th.

Teachers, parents and other supporters are invited cheer him on by joining at the corner of Scotts Valley Drive and Glenwood or Bean Creek and Scotts Valley Drive at 7:00 am and 3:00 pm.
