Traci Bliss, a fifth generation Santa Cruzan, is an award-winning emerita professor of education. She co-authored the popular Arcadia book Santa Cruz's Seabright and writes about women in California's environmental history.

Led by docent Pete Wang, the tour focuses on the Ohlone, Raphael Castro, Claus Spreckels, Aptos Landing Wharf, the development of Seacliff Park — including Paul Woodside, “the Madman of Seacliff” — and the Concrete Ship.
