Join in celebrating one of Mexico’s well-known traditions; Day of the Dead. This month-long tradition is a time to honor and remember those who have passed by cooking their favorite foods, decorating an altar with their things, marigold flowers, and symbols that represent the elements. A celebration that started with the Aztecs, the Spaniards quickly added their Catholicism to it but the people were able to keep the liveliness, joy, and colors of their ancestors. We will celebrate by making mini altars on Thursday, Oct. 26th between 5-8pm. Feel free to bring a little something special or rummage through all the fun materials to make a unique and thoughtful piece of art.
$25, all materials included.
