This is a heritage Santa Cruz Mountains event, created at the Brookdale Lodge in 2000 by Brookdale Bluegrass front man Eric Burman. Peruse the lively Western themed vendor market and enjoy numerous food trucks and libation options. Come say hello to “Sera,” one of the horses from Canjam Farm Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation. A portion of the proceeds from the bluegrass festival weekend benefit this Scotts Valley nonprofit, which rescues abused and neglected horses from across the Western states and gently trains them to be adopted to forever homes.

Shows occur outdoors in the beer garden, on the main stage in the upstairs courtyard area, and indoors in the Brookdale Fireside Lounge.

Featured at this year’s Brookdale Bluegrass Festival, Canham Farm Horse Rescue of Scotts Valley. The horse rescue and rehabilitation center will be on hand with some of the beautiful horses they work with. Come interact with the animals and learn more about this dedicated advocacy group.
