Rebuilding our Community

Wildfire is no stranger to Big Creek Lumber Company. In fact, Big Creek’s co-founder Bud McCrary first met his wife Emma while fighting the Pine Mountain Fire in 1948. Unfortunately our community again experienced first-hand the devastating effects of wildfires.

It has been tragic to watch the damage and loss of homes, barns and businesses in our community. Hours after losing his own home in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Big Creek Lumber Company co-founder Lud McCrary was already thinking of how his company could help others who suffered loss.

In an effort to assist any homeowner who suffered property loss as a result of the fires, Big Creek Lumber is offering contractor prices to these customers. To get the special pricing, contact your local store or sales person and explain your circumstances.

Big Creek looks forward to helping our community rebuild.

“Since the community where our family has lived for seven generations was severely damaged by the CZU Fire, we have a very personal connection to the fire losses sustained by many Californians this year and complex process of recovery. We hope this offer will encourage others in their rebuilding efforts,” Ellen McCrary Rinde, Vice President, Big Creek Lumber

“We know what it’s like to lose your home down to the clothes on your back. And we want to help others in our community,” Lud McCrary, Co-Founder of Big Creek Lumber.
