Free SLV Community Health Fair

Santa Cruz Community Health (SCCH) will be hosting a Health Fair at Highlands Park Senior & Community Center at 8500 Highway 9, Ben Lomond on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Throughout the Health Fair, SCCH will offer Medi Cal enrollment services, free COVID-19 test kits, as well as activities and programs on health and well-being that are open to everyone. Presentations and activities are designed to address both physical and emotional needs of our community. Some of the presentations include:

· The Power of A.W.E.: Overcome Burnout & Anxiety, Ease Chronic Pain, Find Clarity & Purpose—In Less Than 1 Minute Per Day, by local author and SCCH doctor Michael Amster, MD
· Evidence-based lifestyle medicine with a practical approach to enhancing longevity with Dr. Steven Leib
· Open question and answer session with Mila Shank, SCCH Chief of Behavioral Health: anxiety, depression, trauma
· Open question and answer session with Casey KirkHart, MD, SCCH Chief Medical Officer: COVID, flu, wellness, prevention

Community partners will also participate in the Health Fair. COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccinations will be available between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. without an appointment.

The Health Fair will introduce the San Lorenzo Valley community to the wide variety of services that are available through SCCH, which opened a clinic in Ben Lomond in January 2022. The Santa Cruz Mountain Health Center serves patients who live in the SLV area and beyond.
