Looking for a job? Looking for housing? Challenges getting in the way of these goals? Connect with local programs that can help!
The Santa Cruz Public Libraries are partnering with the Homeless Garden Project to hold a Job and Services Resource Fair 12 – 4 p.m. on Saturday April 23rd at Laurel Park, behind the London Nelson Community Center.
Bus passes are available to attendees if needed. Contact evanj@homelessgardenproject.org for support with bus passes.
This event is free, and lunch is provided while supplies last. Bringing together workforce development and wrap-around service providers, we hope to connect with people experiencing barriers to housing employment and offer a pathway forward.
Service providers include: the Community Action Board (CAB) SmartHIRE and Homeless Preventions Programs, Grey Bears, Cabrillo College, Goodwill Central Coast Career Center, Encompass, Santa Cruz County Veterans Services, Your Future is Our Business, and the National Farmworkers Program. Togo’s of Scotts Valley, Capitola, and Watsonville has generously donated lunch for attendees.
This project was supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
