Something Else Live @ Steel Bonnet

Something Else is an Americana Roots Rock and Roll band from the Santa Cruz Mountains. Established in the late 90’s, this Quilted Fish Recording Artist played a significant amount of shows in Santa Cruz, San Francisco and Lake Tahoe. Opening up for such acts as Los Lobos, Taj Mahal, The North Mississippi Allstars, ALO and Dan Bern to name a few. Blending Roadhouse Rock and Roll with hints of Country, Folk and Swampers style funk, Something Else released their first CD “Lesson for Today” in 2001 on the Quilted Fish Records label.

Life happens and the band went into hiatus in the mid-2000s, occasionally doing reunion shows with the likes of Grateful Dead stalwarts Shady Groove and Spirit of 76. It was not until 2012 that the band started reforming. Running through a series of lineups, they finally found one that clicks and have started to play shows again.
