Before coming to Scotts Valley, where did you live?
I was born and raised in Boulder Creek and then moved away to college in San Diego/Sonoma, and then to San Francisco.
What brought you to Scotts Valley and how long have you lived here?
I was 7 months pregnant with my first son and we were living in San Francisco. All of the baby furniture was taking over our small Inner Richmond apartment and my husband said, “we have to get out of here!” I knew there was only one place in California I wanted to raise a family, and so we moved to Scotts Valley a month later! We have been here for almost 8 years
What do you love most about living here?
The people! Through the kids school, sports and church we have met the most amazing people and have such a strong community surrounding us.
Please describe what drives and motivates you to do more for others and for the people of Scotts Valley.
Personally, I think it’s fun! Nothing is more entertaining than slinging beers at a Food Truck Friday, or organizing events to raise money for our schools and rec sports. I also love thinking of ways I can create an event or promotion that not only raises funds for an organization I am working with, but brings new people into small local businesses, and creates a fun event to bring the community together!
