Before coming to Scotts Valley, where did you live?
I lived in San Jose when I was a child and then moved to Scotts Valley when I was 10 years old.
What brought you to Scotts Valley and how long have you lived here?
We had close family friends who lived in Scotts Valley and my parents loved the small town community and felt it was the perfect place to raise their children in. I went to Vine Hill Elementary, SVMS and Harbor High (since there was no SVHS at that time). I moved back to San Jose once I met my husband. Once we had children who were going to start school, we moved into my childhood home in Scotts Valley and our oldest started Kinder at Vine Hill.
What do you love most about living here?
I love raising my children in this beautiful, small town community. I love how the community comes together for school events, celebrations, youth sports and those in times of need. I love our schools and our teachers who are so caring and really want our students to succeed.
Please describe what drives and motivates you to do more for others and for the people of Scotts Valley.
I am motivated to help others in this community since there is such a need. Our schools, youth sports, and parks all need support and I am happy to help however I can.I grew up watching my parents volunteer in Scotts Valley and am proud to say that they still do! I have been so blessed to have met some of my closest friends (and my children’s friends) throughout my years of volunteering in the classroom, PTA and Little League.
Looking forward to many more years of helping the community and meeting new friends!
