Felton Music Hall Presents:

THE SAM CHASE & THE UNTRADITIONAL and WOLF JETT – The Sam Chase & The Untraditional hails from San Francisco, California. This juggernaut of a band blends rock n roll with folk music while maintaining the sensibilities and attitudes that come from growing up on a healthy diet of punk rock.

The leader of the band is The Sam Chase himself, a natural storyteller with a voice that sounds as if it has weathered many an epic tale.  With boot stomping orchestration and lyrics that have been immortalized on the tattooed skin of their fans, The Sam Chase & The Untraditional doesn’t mess around.

… These are the warriors we need in these troubled times.

Wolf Jett – The sound of Wolf Jett will make you dance, sing, and possibly even howl! Its roots run deep through the soul and help heal the heaviness of life. Their music is a celebration of perseverance, infusing folk, blues and americana into what can only be described as “Cosmic Mountain Music.” Frontman Chris Jones was born in the south and raised in CA. His songs combine the best of both worlds to create a vibe that is fresh, yet immediately familiar to a broad audience. He is joined by long-time musical collaborator Jon Payne on drums, Duncan Shipton on bass and Will Fourt on lap steel/guitar. Often featuring Laura T. Lewis on vocals/percussion and other special guests, to boot.

Wolf Jett was conceived in late 2019 with the intent of bringing people together and putting smiles on their faces. Just prior to the release of their debut album (backed by 3 multi-state tours and various festival appearances) the world was brought to a screeching halt by pandemic. To adapt, they constructed an analog studio at Jon’s residence called “House on a Hill” in Boulder Creek, CA. Unfortunately, the CZU Lightning fires ripped through Big Basin State Park in August that year, consuming the house and new studio along with it. Their story was featured in SF Chronicle, Oakland Tribune, San Jose Mercury, and Santa Cruz Sentinel. Seeing an opportunity to help their community heal, they recorded a breathtaking emotional live video among the ashes and rubble of where House on a Hill once stood with the help of their friends, the T Sisters. Their song “Garden of Pain” has since become a local favorite.

Their latest release (March 2024), “Time Will Finally Come”, was produced by Jonathan Kirchner and is now available on streaming/vinyl/cd. Their debut album was picked up by Warner Chappell Music. They have performed with Bay Area greats California Honeydrops, The Brothers Comatose, AJ Lee & Blue Summit, Mother Hips, Midnight North, T Sisters, Marty O’Reilly, Sam Chase, and recorded with Jason Crosby(Jackson Browne), Stelth Ulvang (the Lumineers), James Deprato (Chuck Prophet), and Eric Yates (Hot Buttered Rum). Their music is in rotation on local radio stations KPIG, KZSC, KRML, KBCZ, KSQD in Santa Cruz, WNCW in North Carolina and WDVX in Tennessee.
