Robert started his real estate career as a licensee in 1986 and knew since he was about 14 years old that this was the career path he wanted to follow. He has based his career on serving the community, helping to educate the community on real estate matters, working diligently to uphold professional standards in the profession, and providing assistance to those in need of guidance throughout the years.
Robert has also been called upon and continues to be called upon by the real estate industry to assist and educate fellow real estate practitioners on a variety of topics including professional standards, technology, and numerous other topics that he has been asked to train fellow real estate agents on. He has held a position as a State Director and Vice-Chair for the California Association of REALTORS®.
He was also once a nationally syndicated real estate journalist and has also been featured in the San Jose Mercury News, AOL News, Forbes, Inman News, Business Week, and many others. Robert appeared on HGTV’s hit show “Sleep on It” and NBC’s “Best of the Bay”, and was also the host of TV and Radio’s “Let’s Talk Real Estate!” for over 15 years.

I met Robert while searching for a home. I was first impressed with the website he built for the house I was looking at. He builds these stellar individualized websites that use your address as the URL. He uses professional photographers to present your home. He uses 3D scans so every home has a virtual your. Then he tops it all off with videos, aerial drone footage, and music. When we saw this, we said this is how we want to have our home presented.
We put a bid on the house he was selling, but it was contingent on selling ours. We were so impressed with Roberts work we hired him to sell our home. We had 18 days to sell in order to remove the contingency on the home we wanted. I admit I was skeptical if we could get what we needed in order to purchase the new home. Robert was confident we could get what we needed.

But it didn’t end there. The whole expedited process left us drained. So Robert gifted us with a couples massage at a local spa near our new home. And the red carpet didn’t end there. “After working with multiple real estate agents over the years, we can easily say Robert is by far the best agent we have ever worked with. When we decided to sell our Scotts Valley home we found Robert because of his successes with other homes in the neighborhood. We were quickly impressed with his track record. When we met with him to discuss the sale of our home we were even more impressed with his approach and market knowledge. I'll explain in more detail in a moment. Robert is a great realtor -- going in to our sale and purchase, I knew the that his social media presence and My Scotts Valley site gave him a serious marketing advantage, but he also has a lot of great skills that were invaluable to me in both buying and selling. When it came to buying, he used every possible tactic, from high tech social media to low tech knocking on doors and talking to people. We asked him to virtually pull a rabbit out of his hat in finding us a home in a neighborhood where nothing was listed, and he came up with not one, but two homes. I met Robert about 2.5 years ago when he knocked on my door to introduce himself and asked if I'd ever be interested in selling, because he had connections in Silicon Valley... and Scotts Valley was emerging as a coveted area to live for tech commuters. At that time, I had only lived there a year and my home was brand new construction. I had no plans to move.

While still renting in Scotts Valley, we had become familiar with the “My Scotts Valley” page on Facebook and were regular followers there when we noticed that there were some success stories of families finding or selling homes after posting on this page….so we decided to give it a try and we contacted Robert. BEST decision we’ve made in a long while!
Robert was great from the start. He is extremely easy to work with….super knowledgable about Scotts Valley in particular…and is very VERY responsive and professional. He also really listened to what we were looking for and was able to help us close on the home of our dreams in the exact neighborhood we wanted. Robert is the hardest working agent in the industry. He sold our home within all the requirements we requested. Our home was sold within two weeks of initially talking to him! Robert knew of several families and individuals interested in our home, so we did not need to list the home publicly on MLS and the house sold very quickly for the price we were looking for.
We are very pleased with Robert's professionalism, flexibility and attention to detail. After having dealt with numerous realtors over the last 20 years, he was by far the most reliable and conscientious agent I have had the opportunity to work with. In our particular case, we had some unique restrictions as how we wanted our home marketed. He was able to easily navigate those restrictions and still sell our home over asking price.
Was there an advantage working with Robert because of his exclusive networking and marketing tools? Yes, as stated above, because of the unique restrictions we put on the marketing of our home, he was able to sell our home purely through his networking/social media efforts. I doubt many other agents would have been as successful.
Robert is FANTASTIC! He is very detail oriented, very professional, very attentive...and most of all HE GETS THINGS DONE! He got me a generous price on the sale of my house and dealt with some difficult stuff concerning the purchase of our new home. But the bottom line is, he got it done, and within the 30 days we had to do it in. Robert went above and beyond to make sure we were safe in both transactions and is still helping us with things like helping us to reprogram our alarm and our high tech garage door opener (he is a wiz with high tech gadgets). He is also pretty funny. We always had a good laugh when we would get together. He is a great guy and he knows his stuff.
The fact that you put yourself out there and network through all the valuable connections you have in the community made a huge difference. I truly believe we would not have sold as fast and would not have received as good of an offer if you didn't market yourself and have the networking connections that you have.
I'm hoping me and my husband win the lottery so we can hire him to find us and the kids even bigger homes...it is that much fun working with him. Robert, we are going to miss talking to you every day.

If you are looking for a realtor, I would highly recommend Robert. He is everything you could ask for in a realtor. We wanted to downsize (not downgrade). He was quick to understand what we were looking for and did not waste our time trying to show us houses that did not meet our needs.
He was patient. He was not trying to make a quick deal, but rather to help us find the right house (no matter how long it took). He did an excellent job in assessing the market value of our home and getting the word out using his Facebook page in addition to listing it on the MLS.
After the sale, he and Monica (his wife and assistant) were on top of everything. They took care of scheduling all the inspections and arranged to have the necessary minor repairs done. As it turned out, we are buying the house from the people who bought ours. Robert represented both parties. At no time did I ever question his integrity. I know that he was honest and fair with each of us and helped to make this a win, win, win situation! Although buying and selling a house can never be totally stress free, Robert helped to make this a positive experience.

Robert was an invaluable resource as we sold our existing home and found a new one. He effectively marketed and sold our home in less than one-week securing an offer that was above our asking price. In the pursuit of our new home, he took a very proactive approach to help us narrow our search to several specific neighborhoods and then spent a great deal of time driving us around to different properties. His knowledge of the local market was extensive as we weighed the pros and cons of each house. Once we found the right home, Robert negotiated aggressively for us resulting in a $5,000 credit to cover several necessary repairs.
While waiting to move into our new home, Robert provided extensive service and support as we made a few repairs and upgrades prior to our move-in date. He made introductions to several top of the line service providers including roofers, painters, landscapers, tile installers and hardwood floor refinishers. Robert even guided several of these projects for us while we were out of town, following-up with these service providers on a daily basis to ensure the timely completion of all projects!! I have never met a realtor who goes to that length to serve his clients.
As if all of that wasn’t enough, Robert and Bailey Properties allowed us to use their parking lot on a Saturday for a charity car wash which helped send local kids to summer camp – He even matched what we raised!!!
Needless to say, in Robert I have found not only a superb realtor, but also a community leader and friend.
02/28/2014 - Robert was extremely helpful and diligent in pursuing our short sale. He was always available to answer questions and made the difficult transaction very convenient for us. He has even assisted us with post sale questions and has gone way beyond what he was obligated to do as our representative. I would recommend him without any reservation to be an agent for any real estate transaction.
11/12/2013 - Robert Aldana helped my family with saving our home. He did a FANTASTIC job in assisting us & the God granted patience to explain everything about home loans to us. I know that in this day in age it is hard to believe that there are people that are willing to help people/families in difficult times without asking for something in return, but Robert is one of those people. With his help we were able to save our home & the ability to pay a reasonable mortgage that we can afford. 01/08/2014 - I met Robert over 20+ years ago when he helped my mom find the perfect home. I was a little protective over my mom when she sought a Real Estate agent to search for her new home. But after meeting Robert and hearing the passion and excitement in his voice, I felt relieved and sold that he was the right guy for the job. Since then, he has been a friend of the family and the first person I think of when the topic of Real Estate comes up.
Now I find myself in a situation where I am fortunate enough to buy into my own home. I think about the times when Robert took my mom out to search for properties and make suggestions and now I have the privilege to work with a professional and 27 year veteran in the field. 01/07/2014 - I have worked with Robert when buying and selling multiple properties around town and it has been a pleasure working with him each and every time.
I first got connected with him by taking one of his free classes he offered when he taught his Tips for Home Buyers and Tips for Home Sellers programs, and I had listened to him on his radio and TV programs as well.
I knew how important it was to work with an experienced Realtor, someone who knew all of the details and caveats we might see in various types of transactions. He had great advice on neighborhoods, information on loans and financing, the escrow process, etc. He always provided assistance above and beyond the expectations for a Realtor.
