On Tuesday, June 26, during the standard market hours (2:30-6:30pm), the heart of Felton comes to life with this special event. Free and family friendly, a flurry of activities pop-up around the market as farmers and food artisans throw up their tents to sell the growing array of delicious edibles to grocery shoppers and diners alike. The California Kurobuta Bacon Bus will be offering tastings of their grass fed pork sausages while the market staff grills up stone fruit and summer squash for everyone to try. KERMIT the bicycle, book-mobile from the Santa Cruz Public Libraries offers a summer time scavenger hunt – learn foodie facts, talk to farmers and win a basket of berries. Mountain Feed and Farm Supply shows up with a DIY workshop (3:30-4:30pm) making fermented zucchini pickles. Visit the art table, get your face painted and listen to some live music.
