Scotts Valley, California – October 3, 2013 – I caught-up recently with Julie Lewis and Carol Marting, the co-owners of Scotts Valley Spa and Boutique at their beautiful place of business for a tour of their place and a question and answer session.

It’s evident and clear, from the immaculate surroundings and spacious spa, that these ladies take a lot of pride in their business and enjoy doing what they do. You will find, above the front counter and written on the wall, the following caption:

“May all who enter as guests leave as friends”

You get that feeling from the moment you walk-in and see the interaction that Julie and Carol have with their clients, an interaction that appears to be more as friends then business relationships. But make no mistake about it, this place is a business.

As I walked in the establishment, I was in awe as to how big and spacious the place actually is. There are massage rooms, wrap rooms, showers and bathrooms, sitting areas and more. You can’t tell from outside but this is one of the largest spa and boutiques of its kind in the entire county.

Our Q&A went as follows:

How long have you been in business?
4 years, 5 months as of October 2013.

Tell me about your business
We are a full service Day Spa. We do natural nail services, skin care (facials, peels, acne treatment and product recommendation), waxing, massage and body scrubs and wraps, spray tanning and teeth whitening. All services provided in a quiet relaxing, yet cheerful environment.

What made you pursue a Spa and Personal Care Business?
We were working together elsewhere and wanted to make a place that was our own and unique to the type of vision we had.

What makes you stand out from your competition?
We are very client centered as our services are all customized to each client’s individual needs. We are also all happy to be here and doing what we are doing.  All of our providers are selected for their knowledge and experience allowing us to provide our community with the best services available.

We have won awards from our community each of our four years in business.

Why did you choose Scotts Valley as a location for your business?
Scotts Valley is very business friendly, clean, and centrally located for our client base.

What message would you like to send to our community or what in particular would you like for the community to know?
We want to get the word out that we are the largest day spa in the county, yet we are quietly tucked into your neighborhood. We exist for you and because of you.

Do not hesitate to come in! If you have a question or are curious about any of our services, we welcome the community to come check us out. We are happy to give tours and want you to feel confident that we are here for you and to meet your needs.
