Maren Peduto is one of the hardest working volunteers who is also a mover and a shaker when things need to get done. Her commitment to the community and especially our schools is legendary and there is no task to big or too small for her to take on.
Through Maren’s work, local PTA’s and the Scotts Valley Educational Foundation have thrived on so many levels as she has taken on numerous leadership roles through the years, and continues to do so today. She influences in a positive way to all!
Some fun facts about Maren…
Before coming to Scotts Valley, where did you live?
I moved to Santa Cruz County with my parents when I was 5 years old. I am so fortunate to be a native of this beautiful county.
What brought you to Scotts Valley and how long have you lived here?
My husband grew up in Santa Cruz and I grew up in the San Lorenzo Valley so when we purchased our home we decided to meet in the middle and make our home Scotts Valley. It has been the best decision we have made as a couple.
What do you love most about living here?
There are too many things to list, I truly feel blessed to call Scotts Valley my home. If I had to pick my favorite thing about this city I would have to say our wonderful community. I’ve never met kinder, more caring people anywhere. My husband, children and I have so many friends that feel like family.
Please describe what drives and motivates you to do more for others and for the people of Scotts Valley.
I love this community and I want to do everything I can to make it the best city ever for all of the people who live here. I volunteer to be a role model for my children. I hope that when they are grown they choose to live here, raise their own families here, and give back to the community they grew up in.
