San Jose, CA – July 31, 2018 – SCORE, the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, has partnered with Home Shopping Network (HSN) and West Valley College to sponsor a Northern California (NorCal) initiative to find entrepreneurs who wish to represent their products on the new HSN program, “American Dreams”. This exciting new program is designed to launch entrepreneurs to a new level of success.

On Saturday, September 15th SCORE Silicon Valley and HSN will take the first step to reach entrepreneurs who have a product to promote to 96 million households on the HSN network. The September 15th event at West Valley College in Saratoga, CA is a free information session about this opportunity. Centered around HSN’s new show, “American Dreams”, the free event will give entrepreneurial hopefuls the opportunity to sharpen their sales skills in a “pitching forum” designed to provide “best practices” advice along with examples of successful pitches. If you have a product, take advantage of this opportunity! Go to www.scoreyourdream.org to start the registration pro-cess.

During the second event, in November at West Valley College, entrepreneurs will have the oppor-tunity to pitch their products directly to HSN executives, free of charge. Selected participants will go on to be featured on “American Dreams”, promoting their products to HSN’s audience of 96 million households. Both events are designed to dovetail into the “American Dreams” mission of helping launch entrepreneurs to a new level of success. These free events are not-to-be-missed opportunities for any budding entrepreneurs in Northern California. All SCORE chapters in North-ern California will provide the required support to enable the participants to be successful.

‘We are excited to provide this unique opportunity for entrepreneurial hopefuls to get in front of HSN executives and pitch their products for the “American Dreams” TV show. We will actively support all the participants both before and after the pitch event to ensure their continuing success.’ says Florence Chen, Program Director of NorCal SCORE-HSN Program. She will oversee and coordinate SCORE support activities for all the SCORE chapters in Northern California. ‘We are very fortunate to also get the support of the Center of Entrepreneurship at West Valley College in
Saratoga, CA’. Manny Cappello its Director says, ‘I am very proud and excited to partner with SCORE Silicon Valley on the HSN “American Dreams” program. At West Valley College, learn-launch-lead is more then just our alliteration. It’s our way of thinking, a call to action. It’s casting aside fears and doubts and achieving one’s dreams and ambitions.’

About American Dreams

Home Shopping Network (HSN) has begun airing a new show, “American Dreams”, designed to feature entrepreneurs and their products. During each 30-minute segment, the entrepreneurs are interviewed and their products are then promoted for sales on the same show. The show currently airs weekly and HSN hopes to increase its’ frequency. That is why HSN is working with SCORE to identify makers and entrepreneurs with interesting products to promote.
