In anticipation of the upcoming heavy rains which are expected to drop several inches of rain in the Scotts Valley and Santa Cruz mountain areas, PG&E has called on numerous crews and set-up camp in Skypark in order to be as ready as possible to address any power failures or other issues that fall under their jurisdiction of PG&E’s job description.

According to the National Weather Service the upcoming rains could cause flooding in some areas with several inches of rain being projected, anywhere from 1.5-4 inches in some areas and as much as 8 inches in coastal areas, and gusts of wind that could reach up to 70 miles per hour in higher elevation areas.

PG&E is expected to be in their current base camp possibly through the weekend if needed.
