Scotts Valley, CA – Over 230 students from Baymonte Christian School, Brook Knoll Elementary and Vine Hill Elementary are taking the D.A.R.E. pledge to stay off drugs as they graduate from the ten week D.A.R.E. program on March 30th, April 6th and April 13th.

Under the direction of our specially trained D.A.R.E. Officer, these students have learned the skills they need to avoid drugs, alcohol and violence. The classes include extensive role-playing on practical ways to resist pressure to experiment with drugs and alcohol.

Because our D.A.R.E. Officer has personal experience working with drug abusers on the street, students consider him to be a highly credible instructor.

The D.A.R.E. lessons focus on four major areas: providing accurate information about alcohol and drugs, teaching students’ decision making skills, showing them how to resist peer pressure and giving them ideas for alternatives to drug use and violence.
