JOIN OUR TEAM – THE EXPLORER PROGRAM!

The Scotts Valley Police Department is now accepting applications for the Police Explorer program.
We will be hosting an OPEN HOUSE on November 4th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Scotts Valley Police Department.  At the OPEN HOUSE we will present a detailed explanation and demonstration of how our program works, give applications and answer questions.  Parents are encouraged to attend.

Being a Police Explorer provides an opportunity to educate and involve young adults in police work.  Many law enforcement agencies utilize Explorers to assist with crime prevention, traffic control, telecommunications, and community policing projects.  These activities are performed under the supervision of police department personnel which demonstrates that being an Explorer can not only provide young adults with insight on a career in law enforcement but it also gives them a lesson in community involvement and service.
