The SLV Water District declared an emergency water shortage with rationing measures to start in May. The goal for the district is to cut water use by 20% during summer water use. March through July is when water use typically doubles due to outdoor irrigation.

SLV residents will be getting a mailer this month explaining the water use requirements.
