Valley Churches United will hold its first fundraising garden tour on Saturday, June 24th from 10am to 4pm.

“Enchanting Gardens in the Valley” will feature seven gardens in Felton and Ben Lomond. The gardens range from country cottage, beautiful and serene, to whimsical and educational.

One garden (owned by a retired 20-year manager of Sunset Magazine’s test gardens) features not only flower and vegetable gardens, and a small vineyard, but reclaimed redwood projects. One is a replica of the bow of the Titanic (not to scale!) from which visitors can gaze at his lower garden.

Other gardens showcase showcase indoor/outdoor entertainment areas, ponds, greenhouse with hundreds of exotic orchids, rain water catch systems, and more.

All profits from the garden tour will benefit Valley Churches United, serving those in need in San Lorenzo Valley, Scotts Valley and Bonny Doon for over 35 years.

Tickets are $20, including the garden map, and may be purchased at:

The Garden Company and San Lorenzo Garden Center in Santa Cruz, Scarborough Gardens in Scotts Valley, and Mountain Feed and Farm Supply in Ben Lomond.
